Works on Paper

Every so often I feel the urge to loosen up my usual painting style and *gasp* actually allow some brush strokes to show!  I finally gave in... and these gouache on paper pieces are the product of me uncramping my hand and relaxing my eyes a bit. I must give credit where credit is due and admit there is a bit of Wayne Thiebaud in these pieces...ok, a lot of Thiebaud. Still, they are a refreshing change for me and a good reminder of what it feels like to not obsess over every detail.


*Update* This series is getting its own Blog! Pop Paperworks will give me room to grow as I continue to explore this brave new world of painting on paper.
